HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

How will my cheesecake arrive?

All of our Basque Burnt Cheesecakes are shipped frozen in specially designed packaging to safely transport our products. Cakes will ship with ice packs and dry ice. As long as the cake is cool to touch, it is perfect for eating even if there is no dry ice remaining in the package. For cakes shipped with dry ice, be sure not handle the remaining dry ice with bare hands.

What do I do with my cheesecake once it is delivered?

Our Basque Burnt Cheesecakes should be removed from their Styrofoam containers and placed in the cake box provided. You may consume immediately or refrigerate. Once received, our cakes will last five to seven days in the refrigerator and will taste as fresh as if you were enjoying it in our bakery!

I just got my cheesecake and it’s frozen! How do I eat it?

Sometimes we are able to get it to your door before the dry ice sublimates. Please place the Basque Burnt Cheesecake in the fridge or outside for 1-2 hours to defrost.

How should I serve my cheesecake?

Our Basque Burnt Cheesecakes can be served refrigerated or slightly cool. We recommend including some fruits, jams, or ice cream!

What is the best way in which to cut a whole cheesecake?

Use a warm knife (dip in hot water) to cut the cheesecake. Wipe the knife with a damp towel in between each slice to ensure a smooth cut.
